The Writing Across the Curriculum committee offers the following services for faculty. Just contact the WAC chair (dleaton@truman.edu) to set up a visit.

1. Consultation
   1. Avoiding genAI. Visit with a committee member to discuss ways of discouraging genAI use through course and assignment design.
   2. Assignment Instructions. Schedule an appointment with the Writing Center Director or with a Writing Center student consultant for feedback on your assignment instructions.
   3. Better Workshop (Peer Review) Practices. Schedule an appointment with the Writing Center Director to talk about better workshop design.
   4.  Designing Writing Enhanced. Schedule an appointment with a committee member to discuss effective integration of process, product, and cognition into your use of writing in your WE course.
2. Writing Center Fellow The Writing Center offers a writing consultant to work with your class 1-3 hours per week (averaged across the semester). Available Fellows are first come, first served. Click here for further detail.
3. Required Writing Center Use Send your students to the Writing Center at any point in the writing process. “Required” is a little heavy; it may be better to use “have the opportunity.” The WC can give general feedback and guidance, but they can also work on specific areas of writing that you deem necessary.
